Case 36: Hair Transplants

Mark is a patient who had progressive baldness that concerned him greatly.  He is young (early 30's), vigorous, and takes great care of his appearance however in Mark's opinion, his balding scalp did not portray these aspects of his life.   One of Mark's chief concerns was that the hair transplant would look natural and that he would be able to style and comb his hair in a normal manner.  These concerns are understandable and shared by almost all of our patients. In addition, Mark did not have a lot of time to take off work for multiple procedures and wanted to have as many grafts as appropriate to achieve a result that looked great in one session.   Mark ultimately decided on the procedure and according to his goals, we performed 2300 ultra refined follicular unit grafts in a single session.  While some patients receive in excess of 3000 grafts in one session, we always customize the number of grafts to the patient’s realistic expectations, degree of hair loss, and of course budget!  Mark's results 8 months later are seen below.  A video of the result and the ability to comb and style the hair is also presented.  The results speak for themselves and he is delighted!
